LA BELLA
Olinto Bass

A company long known for its strings steps out with an instrument perfectly suited to its oldschool reputation. With its 34" scale, hand-carved alder body, Madagascar rosewood fingerboard, clay dot position inlays, and chrome bridge cover, the La Bella Olinto 4-string looks like something James Jamerson might have played—but its distinctive headstock, “C”-shape neck, and dual adjustable trussrod set it apart. The Olinto is available in sunburst, Olympic white, black, and natural nitro-lacquered finishes.

FODERA

The latest release in Fodera’s Standard line, a streamlined version of the 4-string, 34"-scale Monarch, has an ash body with a bi-color flamemaple top, a pau ferro fingerboard on a bolt-on maple neck, gold hardware, and mother-of-pearl inlays. That distinctive Fodera tone comes through loud and clear courtesy of the company’s dual-coil pickups and Fodera/Pope Standard 3-band preamp.

GIBSON
EB Bass

Gibson celebrates the upcoming 60th anniversary of the EB-1 with the 34"-scale EB bass, which combines classic shapes and elements—including that distinctive headstock, ash body, 20 medium-jumbo frets, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard—with two Alnico V humbuckers, and a Babicz Full Contact chrome bridge. Pop up either pickup’s volume control to access a frequency-tuned coil tap for fatter single-coil tone and better output balance, with hum canceling when both pickups are combined, and low-noise operation when used individually. Available in satin fireburst, satin cream, natural stain, and satin ebony.

At 41.5" in length, the Thirty 2 features a mahogany body, maple neck, vintage jumbo frets, swamp skunk fingerboard, a Graph Tech nut, as well as Ultralite tuners and a bridge by Hipshot— but its special secret sauce comes courtesy of a single Blast Cult active upright bass pickup by EMG. The Thirty 2 is available fretted, fretless, with an ebony fretboard, or with a cypress body.

ETYMOTIC
MP915 Ea
rplugs

Ever wondered what it’d be like to have a compressor in your earplugs? Here’s your chance to find out. At normal volumes, MP915 earplugs mimic natural hearing by doing nothing, but when things get loud, they offer 15dB and 9dB sound reduction (choose by flipping a tiny switch). When things are quiet, however, there’s a 6dB gain. Each box has one pair of earplugs attached by a flexible neck cord, batteries, a protective case, a cleaning tool, filters, and a user manual.
